I just wanted to say that since working as a KJ for Boogie Man George karaoke has taken on a whole different meaning and world to me. I'm just glad to have met some cool people and was able to have a good year! Yay for the Birdbowl Crowd!!!

So on sunday we went to Titanic after The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Brian was our KJ then we headed off to the The Rocky Horror Picture Show where Two of the 25 audience members myself being one of the few yelling out lines during the show and just being annoying :)

So it was a wild weekend...so wild that I am still at home recuperating.

Tragedy Amongst Us But We Will Survive

I recently learned that a very talented friend of mine Rob also known as Rob Spinwell is no longer working with BoogieManGeorge. I will be honest in saying I dont think Karaoke will ever be the same without him. We are all gonna miss his humour and good times he's provided all these past years. And is a tragedy but like I said in the title we will survive. Although hes gone the karaoke scene still goes on suprisingly. And My weekend was interesting. I took Saturday night off to go to an improv show at the planetarium. The improv group is called Just the funny or also known as JTF and you can check out their show times and more info at their website www.justthefunny.com
So, My good friend Dustin whom I have known since my early years at PBCC or Palm Beach Community College was a guest in the show. I've known him since he was in the first improv team at PBCC called Cheese and Crackers. Now known as MOD27. And you can see their shows in West Palm (see more info at www.mod27.com.)
Then after the shows we all went to karaoke at Hooligans. It was the first time back for Boogiemangeorge enterainment and a few of the usuals were there. I sang one song which was suprising considering how late we arrived. But it was a good night nonetheless I made a few new friends as you will see.
Then on Sunday I needed to stop by Titanic to drop off some CD+G's for my good friend Ralph. Then we went over to lil hoolies to talk to Rob who runs the other karaoke company called Kara_O-King. It was a fun night I saw a old friends there as well. Picked up some good info on the karaoke world championship regionals and Phil and I headed out after. So enjoy the pics! l8ter gators!

So for dads bday we(My parents, Ebonye, Eddie and myself) took a trip to Tampa to see my brother Rick and his girlfriend Nichelle. We stayed at the Hilton and had a beautiful room with 2 beds and a pull out sofa. My parents of course had their own room with a king size bed. We only went up for the saturday night and returned on Sunday afternoon. We sang and played pool! Also we had a mascot to pose with for the pictures...his name is Mr. Turtle.

Birdbowl Competition 02-10-06

A few words about last nights Karaoke get together. Although it was really really different because Rob wasnt there. There was a competiton. Every Friday of this month at Birdbowl you can qualify for a Karaoke competition with the chance to win 2 tickets to Vegas plus $5000.00 or 2nd place winning $3000.00 or 3rd Place winning $1000.00 bucks! What happens is 6 women & 6 Men sign up and sing whatever they want and the judges grade them on their Singing, Performance, Costume, Work on the crowd, and overall Charisma. My bestest friends Ebonye and Betsy competeted with me too. I didnt get to see Bestys performace cause I saw this Dr. pepper in the soda machine and earlier when I asked her what she wanted to drink she said Dr. pepper But Pat the bartender didnt have any. But, if you walk by the bathrooms there is a soda machine and I saw it and I went and put my money in but it stole my money! And then this guy helped me by shaking the machine and well 4 juice bottles fell to the ground and no Dr. Pepper. lol. IT was a BATTLE!! But if you scroll down you will see Ms. Betsy holding a bottle lovingly:) And to further close this blog...I did win 1st place last night even though I was up against some top performers! oh! So, last night there was a karaoke competition at goodfellas. Supposed to be about a hundred bucks to win. It was fun. Emilio kicked ass in his song and my friend Brian came into second place or so it seemed. Thats freaking awesome. I love saying I have talented friends. I will be rivaling next week!!!
